The Station was a small club located at 211 Cowesett Avenue in West Warwick, Rhode Island. On February 20th 2003 the band Great White was headlining and started into their show with a rousing rendition of Desert Moon when pyrotechnics ignited the acoustic foam. After 20 seconds the band stopped playing and the fire alarms sounded, people then rushed to the front door creating a log jam and bottleneck.  421 people packed the 300 capacity room with 321 managing to escape the blaze and 100 perishing, including the Great White guitarist Ty Longley and DJ Mike Gonsalves.
